Zack will first discuss the unorthodox career path he took to become an editor on Burn Notice and how it can apply to any aspiring editors or assistants. He will then dissect some of the more complicated "box sequences" used in Burn Notice. It will not be a hands-on tutorial showing a step-by-step "how to" process. Rather, he will discuss his creative approach to the complex voice-over heavy sequences with multiple moving split-screens, show some raw footage, and explain how the sequences get from script to the final product.

Syndication Editing
What I would like to present and discuss is what is syndication editing and what is required to get the movie or show to television.
Price: $1.99 | Explicit? clean
The type of work I do is to take theatrical versions of movies and get them ready for Television. I have to edit out all standard and practices issues (S&P) such as language, nudity and product placement. After I have completed the S&P edit, I then may be required to take out additional time to get the movie to the proper run time for the time slot for Television. I do the same for TV shows. I would like to show 2 clips of the movie "The Antwone Fisher story" one clip would be the theatrical version of the movie and the 2nd clip would be an edited version of the movie. I would also like to discuss how I went about editing the clip and what is required to do a syndication edit. The company I work for is Visual Data Media Services and I'm the senior editor."
